The Institute of Applied Science of Victoria, Report of Activities, 1965-66, p.11 noted: "A fine model of the Bristol F2B Fighter Mark I was constructed to the order of the Institute by Mr. H. P. Wood of Mornington. This acquisition is a step in furthering the policy of filling historical gaps in the models collection. The Bristol Fighter is classed as the most successful fighter aeroplane used by the Allies in the 1914-18 war."
