The clock has an original, unchanged verge escapement with bob pendulum. The workmanship in the clock is first-class and almost all is original.
Physical Description
Black ebony case with break arch dial and inverted bell top. Has brass handle, two frets in arch and sides, and a pointer in arch to select one of six tunes. Spring wound; verge escapement. Power is by a chain and fusee. The clock has a pull/repeat mecahnism driven by a chain and fusee and driving a pinned drum which actuates 8 bells. A medley of six tunes can be played by altering a selector on the dial.
