Summary
Set of gold scales designed to be held in the hand. These scales are typical of those used on the Victorian goldfields in the 1850s.
Physical Description
The scales have two brass pans each supported on three chains hanging from a steel bar. They also have a set of nesting weights from 0.25oz to 4oz Troy and a set of fractional weights from 1 grain to 6 Pennyweights.
