Physical Description
Scales housed in wooden box lined on base with velvet. They are constructed from copper alloy trays and ferrous metal cross bar. The chains are copper alloy also and the trays and chains may be coated with a resinous coating. Book entitled 'Gold Ready Reckoner', published by Slater, Williams, Hodgson & Co., Melbourne, has a cloth covered card cover.
