Part of a collection of items, many from World War I, donated by J. Synan in 1973. A Harold Synan from Melbourne served in the 29th Battalion in World War I - service no. 3663. He was born c.1898, was wounded in the war but survived, and died in 1976. Any connection to the donor is unknown.
