HMS Lydd was a Hunt Class minesweeper. 'Lydd' rammed and sank the drifter (dan layer) HM Comfort off Dover on 29 May 1940 during the Dunkirk evacuation, Operation 'Dynamo', 26 May - 3 June 1940. A total of 338,000 troops were rescued in the evacuation.
