Summary
Wall telephone manufactured by the Telephone Manufacturing Company Ltd (TMC), circa 1925. The dial was required to be set first to the number required, when the action in removing the handset from the hook allowed the dial to commence rotating. As each line had a selector permanently attached there was no necessity for time before dialling for any pre-switching purposes.
Physical Description
Wall mounted wooden box with dial on front and metal bell at bottom. Metal rod with hook on the left hand side.
