Causal organism of typhoid fever. Description: peritrichons flagella are organs of locomotion. Capsule present. Capsules not represented on models.
This is the germ responsible for typhoid infection. It is highly motile by virtue of its numerous flagellae, and it can thrive in water, milk, etc. In the human intestine it causes a very acute infection.
