Used as a detector and amplifier in radio receivers. It has a 4 volt indirectly heated cathode.

One of the first indirectly heated Alternating Current tubes produced by Philips; it was introduced in 1928.

It is sectioned and the bulb removed for display purposes. It is displayed with a complete valve on a wooden base.

Physical Description

Five pin American style base. The valve has been sectioned and the bulb has been removed for display purposes and the tube is mounted on a stand with another complete valve (ST 021542.1). The stand has an exhibition label attached.
