Rectifier diode designed for use in AC/DC radios. The heater was tapped to provide a suitable voltage for a dial lamp. 35 V indirectly heated cathode. Used as half-wave rectifier (without panel lamp).

Vertical metal and mica electrode structure of a diode valve with its bulb removed. Loctal base with 5 pins present. Mounted on display block.
