The diode sections in all three valves were used for the signal detector and automatic volume control (AVC) rectifier and the triode section was used for the first audio stage in radio receivers. All three valves are octal versions of earlier type 75, and have a 6.3 volt indirectly heated cathode.

Physical Description

Valve # 1: Shouldered glass bulb with top cap and octal base with 7 pins present. Mounted on display block with a sectioned example of the same type. Valve # 2: Tubular glass bulb with top cap and octal base with 7 pins present. Mounted on display block. Valve # 3: Shouldered glass bulb with top cap and octal base with 7 pins present. Contained in cardboard carton, probably the original one.
