The diode section was used for the signal detector and the triode section was used for the first audio stage in battery operated radio receivers. 1.4 volt directly heated cathode. Used as a class A audio amplifier.

Tubular glass bulb with top cap and octal base with 7 pins present. Mounted on display block with a sectioned example of the same type (ST 023325).
