Summary
Neon lamp, manufactured by British General Electric and branded Osglim, introduced in the 1920s.
It displays a letter 'C'.
It is similar to a standard electric light globe but with evacuating tip on top. Its characteristics are 230-250 volt AC at 5 watt.
Its date is suggested because the glassmaker's exhaust tip is on top of the bulb rather than in the base, characteristic of types constructed in the 1930s or later.
Physical Description
Bayonet cap (base). Central electrode is in shape of letter "c". Exhaust tip on top of bulb.
