Summary

Model of a box of growing tomato seedlings, affected by damping off.

It represents the results of pre-emergence and post-emergence damping off, as compared with ST 021635 which represents tomato seedlings controlled for damping off.

It was made by Richard Hindle Fowler in February 1941 for the Industrial and Technological Museum, to be used to promote Victoria's horticultural development and to educate the public about horticulture, disease and insect pests.

Causal organism: Phytophthora sp., Pythium sp., and Pellicularia filamentosa. Host: tomato.
