Summary
Wind-driven 12 volt generator with two-bladed wooden propeller. Used to power electrical services in flight. Believed to be the type fitted to RAAF DH9 aircraft.
Physical Description
Wooden propellor (missing section of wood). Round metal casing, tapering at rear to a pointed nut, Four small round cooling air vents (with mesh filters) in casing at front and cut outs for air outlet in tapered section at rear. Paint scraped off in several places. Dent in tapered section. Electrical connector with internal thread. Two manufacturer's plates.
