Set of three locomotive builders and number plates, from a Victorian Railways 280 HP Rail Car, no 89, circa 1951.
The power unit was supplied by Walker Brothers (Wigan) Ltd, Wigan, England, and the body by Martin & King Pty Ltd, Victoria. The 12 rail cars were assembled at the Newport Railway Workshops, Victoria Railways, 1950-52.
