Summary
A large drinking glass souvenir of the 1961 Tour de France. It advertises the Champigneulles brewery.
The 1961 Tour de France was held from 25th June to 16th July, and conducted over 21 Stages. The fifth Stage was held on the 29th June, from Metz to Strasbourg, and was won by French rider, Louis Bergaud.
It was donated to the museum by Hubert Opperman, who had himself raced in the Tour de France in 1928 and 1931.
Physical Description
Clear glass, slightly tapered into the mouth, with gold, black and white printing on sides and gold mouth. Logo and Coat of Arms of the Champigneulles brewery.
