Summary
Beer pump made by John Danks & Son, Melbourne, pre 1928. It was removed from a Geelong hotel by the donor. John Danks & Son Pty Ltd began as a plumbing business in 1859, established by brothers John and Samuel Danks. The company manufactured and supplied a variety of plumbing and engineering products such as brassware, pumps, windmills and bells. From 1951 it began to phase out manufacturing and direct retailing and concentrate on hardware distribution.
Physical Description
Beer pump with lever handle encased in china with red and white pattern. It has a cylinder bore and brass disc valves.
