Summary
The E409 was one of the first indirectly heated valves made by Philips, released in 1928. It was a general purpose triode with a 4 volt indirectly heated cathode. It remained in production until about 1934 and this example must have been made in 1933 or later because that is when Philips introduced gold metallisation of the bulb.
