Summary

Medium power beam tetrode originally released as a metal valve (12A6) in 1941, the glass version appeared in 1943. It appears to have been designed as an economical output amplifier for use in airborne communication equipment.
12.6 V indirectly heated cathode.
Unusual in that there is no direct 6.3 volt equivalent. (The 6A6 is a totally different type of valve.)
