Triode-pentode used in audio amplifiers and the audio section of radio and television receivers in the latter part of the 1960s.
6.3 V indirectly heated cathode.
The combination of a high mu triode and a high gain output pentode meant that a single valve could be used in simple audio amplifiers with up to 4 watts output and a pair could be used in push-pull to produce am output of 10 watts or more. Also known as ECL86 in Europe.
