1.4 volt directly heated cathode, manufactured, 1960-1968. Marketed by Teonex, England. Teonex were a marketer of valves.
High voltage diode used as the EHT rectifier in TV receivers. The 1S2A is electrically equivalent to the 1S2 but has a chemically treated bulb for use under humid conditions.
In the latter years of the valve era (after about 1969) when valve manufacturers were closing their plants, a number of firms such as Teonex sprang up to purchase the remaining stock of valves from them. They then re-branded the valves with their own name for sale to the replacement market.
