Summary
6.3 volt indirectly heated cathode, manufactured by AWV, Sydney, Australia, 1960-1970. Dual pentode with common cathode, grid 1 and grid 2. Designed for use as a combined synchronising pulse separator, noise limiter and AGC valve in television receivers.
The 6BU8 was released in 1956 but was superseded by the 6HS8 in 1960; the dual labelling indicated that this valve could be used to replace the earlier type despite slightly different characteristics.
Physical Description
Tubular glass bulb with exhaust tip and nine pin miniature base.
