Summary
Indirectly heated power output pentode. Used as a Class A power output amplifier, either single ended or pushpull. Octal equivalent of the type 42. 6.3 V indirectly heated cathode, manufactured by AWV, Sydney. Manufactured for AWA Sydney
The AWA branding is unusual. AWV valves were normally branded Radiotron or AWV (or both). The absence of an excise stamp and the AWV brand suggests it was made for export to a country where the Radiotron brand could not be used by AWA, such as the United States.
Physical Description
Shouldered glass bulb on octal base with seven pins present.
