Summary

General purpose triode, used, for example, as a detector amplifier and an AF amplifier. 6.3 V indirectly heated cathode, manufactured for Mullard Radio Valve Co.

In the 1950s Mullard, England imported American types rather than tool up to manufacture them in the relatively small quantities required for the replacement market. These were sold under the Amerty brand.

Based on official figures for 1954, valves formed 80% of Mullard's total sales. The valves sold by Mullard represented 60% of the total valve sales made within the UK and this equated to 34 million devices. Of these 34 million devices, some 7 million were imported either from Mullard Holland or from US manufacturers and distributed under the Mullard Amerty brand.
