Summary

General purpose triode developed at the end of WW 1 (1914 - 1918). Similar to the R type.
The description of this valve on the British National Valve Museum Website says:
"The MOV type R5V was a landmark valve in that it was the first British high-vacuum receiving valve to incorporate a sprung 'inverted V' filament of the type which later became universal."
Manufactured by: M. O. Valve Company, England.
5 volt directly heated cathode.

Physical Description

Conical globe bulb on 4 pin European style base with metal shell. Broken top exhaust tip.
