Small power triode, derived from the US Army type VT-2. The 205-D replaced the 205-B in 1924. Used as a Class A power output amplifier.

Physical Description

Spherical bulb (with evacuation tip) on 4 pin UY style base. The bayonet pin is rotated 45° from the normal position to prevent lower power valves from being pugged into sockets designed for this type. Internal glass arbour is broken.
