A cold cathode decade counter tube, manufactured by Standard Telephones and Cables, England, introduced in the late 1950s or 1960s and used as in electronic counters.

It is a gas filled tube used as decade counter through the transfer of glow discharged round a ring of electrodes. equivalent to a CVX2223, a British military designation.

Vacuum technology was used in its conntruction; it contains low pressure neon gas.
