Summary
Voltage regulator, made by Radio Corporation of America, branded Radiotron, introduced in late 1920s. It was used to maintain a constant voltage in certain circuits, for example in high quality radios and measuring instruments.
In the early days of radio, mains voltage fluctuated a lt and so radios requires a regulator to reduce the effect of fluctuations.
It maintains a voltage of 90 Volts over a current range of 10 to 50 mA.
