Summary

A photoelectric cell, made by the Western Electric, USA, introduced in the 1920s. It probably was used in sound projectors as Western Electric specialised in these, but this type of device was also used in automatic doors or in photometry.

It is dated 8:12:1931.

Physical Description

Consists of round silver coloured bulb, internally coated (probably with caesium) with clear glass "lens". Topcap on angle. Valve base with no pins on bulb neck. Bulb diameter is 5.5 cm. Anode is ring construction.
