Summary
Combined counter and display valve with decatron type fluorescent screen.
This valve combined a decade counter function with a display. It was a vacuum device which distinguished it from the neon filled counter valves. It could count up to 30,000 counts per second.
Manufacturer: Philips, Holland.
Typically, this counter would be used with a number of others to form a multi-digit decade counter. During counting, dots would appear on the two screens of the counter. On finshing the count, say from a scintilation counter, a dot would appear next to a particular digit.
6.3 Volt filament; indirectly heated cathode; anode voltage is 300.
Physical Description
