Summary
Combined tetrode intended for RF or IF amplification and a single diode for detection.
The Philips valve data book describes this valve as a detector-RF amplifier. Due to its sharp cut-off characteristic it would not in fact be useful with automatic volume control so the tetrode section was usually used for audio amplification. In Australia it was used thus in sets made around 1935.
Manufacturer: Philips, Holland.
4 V indirectly heated cathode.
