6.3 V indirectly heated cathode.
The 6J7 was first issued in a metal bulb in 1935. The glass version, 6J7G followed soon after. This example was probably manufactured in the late 1940s.

Physical Description

Shouldered glass bulb with top cap and octal base with 7 pins present. Base has been fitted with tab to make contact with a metal shield that could be clipped over the valve - known as a Goat shield.
