Summary
Beam tetrode widely used for the audio output stage in radios, television receivers, amplifiers and numerous other applications. Introduced in 1946 it remained in use until the end of the 1960s.
It was the 7 pin miniature version of the octal 6V6 (G or GT). Known as the EL90 in Europe.
The date code indicates 1955 or 1965 manufacture, the later date is inconsistent with the date on the carton but if the earlier date is correct, there should be an excise mark.
6.3 volt indirectly heated cathode.

Physical Description
Tubular glass bulb on seven pin miniature glass button base with top exhaust tip. Valve is contained in rectangular yellow and blue coloured cardboard box with fixed internal cardboard packing.
