Summary

Beam tetrode widely used for the audio output stage in radios, television receivers, amplifiers and numerous other applications. Introduced in 1946 it remained in use until the end of the 1960s (the year symbol of the date code is illegible).
It was the 7 pin miniature version of the octal 6V6 (G or GT). Known as the EL90 in Europe.

6.3 volt indirectly heated cathode.

Physical Description

Tubular glass bulb on seven pin miniature glass button base with top exhaust tip. Valve is contained in rectangular yellow and blue coloured cardboard box with fixed internal cardboard packing.
