Summary
Souvenir scarf produced for the Sitmar Cruise line, circa 1960s. It was probably made for sale in shipboard souvenir shops. This scarf is a good example of the sort of souvenirs produced by post World War Two shipping lines for the tourist and migrant trade.
Physical Description
100% polyester woman's scarf, red border, white background with clipper ship printed in dark blue with pale blue flags and sea details; twisted rope pattern round border. In each corner is printed a Sitmar ship mame - Fairsky, Fairwind, Fairsky (repeated), Fairsea. 'Sitmar Cruises' printed in white in one far corner.
