Medal depicting the City Hall of Toronto The building was designed by Viljo Revell and opened in 1965.
Awarded to : Betty Marginson, Mayor of Hawthorn. Betty Marginson (nee Reilly) was Mayor of Hawthorn. She was educated at Williamstown High; Melbourne Teacher's College; Melbourne University. A founding member of University of the Third Age (U3A). A recipient of the AM in 1993, she married Dr Raymond Marginson in 1947. The AM was awarded for services to welfare of the aged, to education and to local government.
