Significance
The 10 cent denomination was introduced in 1863, struck at the Royal Mint, London until 1866. Between 1866 and 1868 the coins were struck at the Hong Kong mint but production returned to Britain after the closure of that mint to be shared betwee the Royal Mint and Hearton & Sons, Birmingham.
