Summary
St Helena medal was created in 1857 by Napoleon III to be awarded to surviving soldiers of Napoleon I Grande Armee of the 1792-1815 wars.
St Helena was chosen by the British for Napoleon's exile. He remained there until his death in 1821 at the age of 51.
