Other Details: This is a standard Department of Agriculture prize medal engraved with the details of the issuing Society. It was awarded to H.H. Hatfield by the Doncaster and Box Hill Horticultural Assocation in 1908 for his exhibit of export pears and apples. Henry H. Hatfield lived in Middelborough Road, Box Hill.

Physical Description

A gold prize medal (15 ct., 31 mm diameter) with the obverse of the Department of Agriculture of Victoria featuring below a crown a rural scene with horse, sheep, cow and pig in the foreground and farmer reaping wheat in the background; combined with the Champion Prize reverse the name and details of an award have been added. The loop attached to the rim has beencut off.
