The King, crowned, wearing armour and holding a sword (annulet in field to left of sword) and a shield quartered with the arms of England and France, standing, facing on a ship at sea; around, HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC DNS HIB.

Reverse Description

At the centre a compartment containing the letter h over a floriated cross with a lis at the end of each arm, in each angle of the cross, a lion passant guardant below a crown; all set within a tressure of eight arches; around, (Lis) IHC AVT TRANSIENS PER MEDIVM ILLORV IBAT (translation: but Jesus passing through the midst of them went His way; from Luke iv, 30).
