Other Details: Football medal, issued in 1886. In that year the Melbourne Football Club visited Hobart to try their luck against the southern association. The Tasmanians won against their more experienced opponents. The Port Melbourne Football Club was was admitted to the Victorian Football Association in the same year, and several Tasmanian teams were formed.

Physical Description

A silver washed circular medal depicting a man running left holding an oval shaped football. The medal is holed for wearing and has space on the reverse for details of an award (not engraved).
