Physical Description

A round copper token (29 mm diameter). The token design featuring the business and foundation date of the issuer: Tea Stores Steam Coffee Mill. It features a view of teas store and shop; on building at left background in five lines; TEA / STORE / STEAM / COFFEE / MILLS in exergue, ESTABLISHED / 1835 / SYDNEY. The side wall of the building has had a second series of 'bricks' added suggesting perspective. On the reverse is Britannia seated facing right wearing Corinthian helmet and holding a trident in her left hand, shield with Union Jack resting behind. Above, BRITANNIA; in exergue, 1852 and, in small letters below shield, JCT.
