Awarded to: Yass Pastoral and Agricultural Association prize medal, issued around 1870. Minted by Hardy Bros, it was not awarded. The Yass Pastoral and Agricultural Association was established in the nineteenth century. Like many agricultural socieites of its time, it would have aimed to improve agricultural productivity through improvements in faming practice and technology, and annual shows and farming competitions. An annual Yass Agricultural Show is still held in the early 21st century.
