Copper One Penny Token, minted by Thomas Stokes, Melbourne. Issued by Alfred Davies, Pawnbroker, Fremantle, 1865. This was the first issue of a token in Western Australia.

Physical Description

A round copper token (31 mm diameter) with the name, address and business of the issuer: Alfred Davies, High St. Fremantle, Pawnbroker. The reverse features a swan swimming to left with wings raised with the legend WESTERN AUSTRALIA 1865.

Reverse Description
