Other Details: This copper medal commemorates the visit of the US Fleet in 1925. It features an eagle with wings spread, holding the USA flag in its talons, and the head of a sailor. The Fleet was on a world tour. Official events associated with the visit to Australia included a "Banquet given by The Ministers of State for the Commonwealth to Admiral Robert E.Coontz and Officers of the United States Fleet, Federal Parliament House, 27th July 1925" (for which a menu was issued and later held in private collections).

This is a thin metal pressing probably originally mounted in a circular frame. As obverse but incuse.
