Other Details: A Special First gold medal awarded to Frank Edwards for boat building (32 mm diameter). It features a portrait of Queen Victoria crowned and veiled with details of the award engraved on the reverse. The exhibition housed in a specially constructed building in City Park, and ran from November 1891 untill March 1892. Edwards was probably the son of J. Edwards and Sons, boat-builders at Princes Bridge who won several other medals at exhibitions around this time.
