Significance
Marie Louise (Maria Luigia) of Austria (12 December 1791 - 17 December 1847) was the second wife of Napoleon I, as such, she was Empress of France from 1810 to 1814. After Napoleon's final loss of power, she remained Duchess of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla from 1814 until her death.
