A round copper token (28 mm diameter). The token features the name address and buisness of the issuer: Joseph Lane & Son, 3 Gt. Charles Street Birmingham, Bullion Dealers and Refiners; and the statement "pure Australian copper for alloying gold".

Andrews 673 = Heyde Related 46 Some of these are believed to have circulated in Australia but it I have found no evidence The two examples in our collection have very different weights - 12.477 for this example and 10.053 for NU4600, this is uncharacteristic of token weight standards. - John Sharples
