Significance
Atta Muhammad Bamizai Khan, a governor of Kashmir under Mahmud Shah, declared independence in 1809 and issued coins under the name Nur al-din (light of religion). Kashmir remained under Afghan rule until conquered by the Sikhs in 1819.
